Kids of 1837
The Kids of 1837 is the non-profit arm of Premier Heritage 105. Our mission is to provide support for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s) and other academic initiatives; providing recruitment initiatives for youth who are considering college, to learn about the history and legacies of the 107 HBCU’s through strategic programming.
TKO 1837 also provides programming that supports diverse academic opportunities and scholastic opportunities for students seeking to attend or those already attending HBCU’s regardless of social or economic status.
Programs will be offered to HBCU collegiate bound students and their families in the form of livestream podcasts, virtual forums and chats to cover a dynamic range of topics pertaining to college culture: including, but not limited to, mental health and wellness, admissions, financial aid, standardized test preparation, scholarship preparation, and parental guidance sessions.
And finally, there are HBCU marketing initiatives that will expose students to HBCU’s such as bus tours, college fairs, student athletic showcases, and sports events. Fundraising and donor development is also an immediate interest of ours, to support HBCU’s with scholarships and endowments.

Mission
To provide academic enrichment, mental wellness, civic engagement and social programming initiatives to support HBCU students, HBCU’s and their communities.
